A fond memory of myself thirty years ago as as a sixteen year old 108L Lion taking part in the “Campo Italia” the most important initiative for young people in the multidistrict 108 Italy. Harking back to olden times, today some districts organise their own camps where the young people with common dreams and a desire for freedom and hope for the future, meet and represent the Nation which chose them. And once a participant thirty years ago, I found myself collaborating during a camp out in Umbria for the 2014 Friendship camp and I lived through the experience with a deeper awareness viewing from a different angle this great opportunity for growth and experience made available to anyone who takes part in the Lions’ camps.
