The author denounces an evident discomfort due to the new international crisis context, that started from the international finance, the so called “creative finance”, and has now become a structural economic crisis, which all countries must deal with. The citizens’ awareness and perception about the EU is somehow negative with loss of confidence in the Union, with its unique currency that lead to difficulties for many countries. Therefore people pay less attention to safety, environment and social policy. He urges the LIONS members to take part in the international forums with ideas and concrete actions in order to rebuild the social and economic fabrics necessary to achieve positive results.
